Tim Berners Lee, the inventor of the worldwide web recently warned that if governments and organizations and individuals failed to tackle threats such as disinformation and invasion of privacy, a digital dystopia will happen.
There will be different interpretations of the word digital dystopia. For us, we described it as `destructive consequences which would be chaotic, uncontrollable and potentially catastrophic' connectivity, with putting unprecedented power in the hands of every individual'.
Dystopias are often characterized by dehumanization, tyrannical governments, environmental disaster, or other characteristics associated with a cataclysmic decline in society.
