In the 4th quarter of 2018, these 4 articles appeared one after another. The first two articles, one of which is Gartner, was quoted to forecast that spending on IT security is expected to grow in 2019.
The 3rd article however, predicted a slowdown in spending on IT security. The 4th article was an extract from Forbes magazine, a well-respected international magazine, read by many corporate leaders around the world whereby the author analysed and explained whether the world economy will crash in 2019.
The 5th article - by TechRadar magazine predicted that 2019 will be a cybersecurity headache for researchers and businesses alike. Especially with the significantly upward trend raised by Internet of Things (IoT). With the varied views by the media and industry player, it will be fascinating to see how cybersecurity will evolve in the 2019 timeline.
