We shared the same worries and concerns over the spread of COVID19 currently. And we subscribe to the efforts of the government in imposing general restriction on the movement of Malaysians.
Every organisation were thrown in the deep end of the unexpected with this announcement, which was made suddenly even though there were calls by various people for the government to impose the same several days prior to the announcement. Many organisations were unprepared and plans were hastily put in place for staff to work from home.
In doing so, we hope and advised all those who work from home - PLEASE BE CAREFUL. STAY SAFE AND ALERT FOR MALICIOUS MAILS OR ATTACHMENTS. SCRUTINIZE EVERY EMAIL AND ATTACHMENTS THAT COMES IN. CHECK EVERY WORD AND SPELLING TO ENSURE IT IS CONSISTENT.
Cyber criminals does not take time off. They always prey on chaotic situation like this. Just because the world is suffering means they will suffer together with you. In fact when everyone is suffering where we are the most vulnerable, cyber criminals strike.
Just like the notice issued by the government when they issued the restriction, we have the same message to all those who are working from home until 31 March 2020. Stay safe. In life where we are to practice safe hygiene by always washing our hands with soap, in cyberspace, we urge you to stay vigilant and practice safe internet hygiene.
