Inclusion of Biometric in revision to PDPA - The way people walk can be used for ID & health check

The new biometric technology – called foot pressure biometrics — may soon join other technologies — retinal scans, voice recognition, fingerprints as a means to identify individuals.

"Gait patterns" biometrics examines the way an individual walks, saunters, swaggers, or sashays — with up to 90-percent accuracy.

Gait analysis uncovers precisely how your body is moving.

Human gait identification aims to identify people by a sequence of walking images. Comparing with fingerprint or iris based identification, the most important advantage of gait identification is that it can be done at a distance.
