Cybersecurity and Y2K

In the late 90s, Y2K was a specter that any technical discussions raised by the IT departments in every organisation were hijacked to discuss Y2K and how bad it was.


Is the same happening with cybersecurity in this present scenario?


As with Y2K, the threats from cybersecurity are real and can cost countries and organisations large amounts of money. It even put the elections of some countries into question with the similarity in both scenarios, would the solutions be the same too?
