DMZ360

DMZ360 is a space where we aimed to provide alternative and probing views so that visitors to our website and social media obtained views, hopefully, in a fair and balanced fashion. Unlike Cybersecurity360, DMZ360 is meant for the public to pitch their voice regarding cybersecurity.

We encourage submissions from the general public on “Cybersecurity Matters” in not more than 1500 words. Submissions may be in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Please send your articles to info@sysarmy.net. It will be great if you can provide your name or we shall publish in this section as anonymous.

Data Breach at Airbus

Late last month, the European aerospace corporation, Airbus discloses of a cyber incident detected in their system that have caused an unauthorised access of data.

In the press release, Airbus was quoted saying:

"This incident is being thoroughly investigated by Airbus’ experts who have taken immediate and appropriate actions to reinforce existing security measures and to mitigate its potential impact, as well as determining its origins. Investigations are ongoing to understand if any specific data was targeted, however, we do know some personal data was accessed. This is mostly professional contact and IT identification details of some Airbus employees in Europe." - Airbus' statement

Following the incident, Airbus have notified the authorities, in accordance to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). They have also advised their employees to take precaution measures.
